On Friday, 8th March, ten of our students participated in the Country
Zone Swimming competition held at Tamahere Country
Model School.
This was the first time in many years that our students
participated in this event and it was great to see our kids
test their swimming skills against the top swimmers from
other schools.
Congratulations to Luca (freestyle), Kate (backstroke),
and Aria (backstroke) who all qualified for the finals in
their swimming heats.
Luca finished 3rd overall in the freestyle final, well done!
The highlight was seeing our swimming team finish in 2nd Place overall in the School Relay event.
We are looking forward to building on this success when we start our swimming program in Term 4.
A big thank you to our parents that helped out with running the event! Your willingness to get stuck in was greatly appreciated!
